Many of our neighbors have inquired who to contact when dealing with problem properties, specifically when animals are the cause of concern. Below is a helpful list of phone numbers and websites that will help resolve your issues and/or point you in the right direction.
- If you see dog fighting, call 911 immediately. It is a crime and is treated as such.
- If you suspect cruelty (which would include dog fighting) please call 286.3535 (this is a Dept. of Neighborhood Services number off of the revamped MADACC website).
- The City of Milwaukee actually has specific requirements for people who own Rottweilers and Pit Bulls, including a required obedience class for owners, and kennel/fence requirements. Please visit www.madacc.com for specific requirement information or call 286.8211.
- For other DNS complaints please call the DNS complaint line: 286.2268, they will direct you to the appropriate venue for your complaint.
- MADACC is extremely helpful when dealing with animal issues. Their number is 649.8640.
